We have a current vacancy for a Preschool Manager
Meldreth Preschool is a charity-run preschool, located in the bustling village of Meldreth. We provide preschool places for 2 – 4-year-olds and we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed manager to lead the team.
This role has plenty to offer for the right candidate - having gained a 'Good' rating from Ofsted last year, the preschool has a good reputation in the village and there are plenty of opportunities for you to make the job your own and build on the existing success that we are currently enjoying. You will report to the Chair of the management committee.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will supervise the daily programme of preschool activities and events
You will organise the key worker system and to effectively supervise staff on a daily basis; to be responsible for monitoring the quality of teaching; to participate in staff appraisals and to identify in-service training needs
You will contribute to and implement all preschool policies and procedures
You will liaise with external agencies, parents and the management committee in order to ensure a joined-up approach to the preschool’s running
Skills and Qualifications
You will have at least a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and a current first aid certificate.
You will be organised and proactive about implementing strategies which benefit the families that use the preschool
You will have an in-depth understanding of the EYFS, as well as the relevant regulatory requirements and safeguarding procedures
Management experience would be a plus, including an understanding of the supervision and appraisal system
Additional training in areas such as SEND, ECAT, Child protection, Engaging Boys would be an advantage

We work closely with parents to ensure that each child’s needs are being met and that they are challenged and supported to achieve their best, and we also encourage this in our staff by offering regular chances for training and professional development.
The hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.
Salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
